Data location, export and deletion
1. Data Location
1.1On the device: all content, including poems, drafts, scraps, settings, photos and voice notes.
1.2In the Android device backup, where enabled: text content only.
1.3In the user's Google Drive, where Drive backup is enabled: text content only, held in a hidden syllabe folder.
1.4With the developer of syllabe: none. No server operated by the developer holds any user content.
2. Export
2.1A copy of all content may be exported from Settings, then Backup and data, then Export.
2.2Available formats are PDF, Word, plain text, Markdown, spreadsheet, and a full syllabe backup that can be imported at a later date.
3. Deletion From the Device
3.1Uninstalling the App causes Android to remove the App and all content stored by it on the device, including photos and voice notes.
3.2Content to be kept should be exported before the App is uninstalled.
4. Deletion of the Google Drive Backup
4.1In the App, open Settings, then Backup and data, and switch off Back up to Google Drive. The App then offers to delete the backup from Google Drive or keep it. Choosing Delete removes the backup permanently.
4.2Alternatively, on any device, open drive.google.com, select the gear icon, then Settings, then Manage apps. Locate syllabe, open Options, and select Delete hidden app data.
4.3To revoke syllabe's access to the Google account entirely, visit myaccount.google.com/connections and remove syllabe.
