1. Acceptance
1.1These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern the use of the syllabe application for Android (the "App") and the website at syllabeapp.com (the "Website").
1.2Use of the App or the Website constitutes acceptance of these Terms.
2. Ownership of Content
2.1All content written, recorded or added in the App by the user remains the sole property of the user.
2.2The developer of syllabe (the "Developer") claims no rights in such content, has no access to it, and does not use it for any purpose.
3. Permitted Use
3.1The App is provided free of charge for writing, keeping and sharing the user's own work.
3.2The App must not be used for any unlawful purpose, or to share work that the user does not have the right to share.
3.3The user is solely responsible for any content shared or exported from the App.
4. Data and Backups
4.1All content is stored on the user's device, and responsibility for safeguarding it rests with the user.
4.2Content that has not been backed up may be permanently lost if the device is lost or reset, or if the App is uninstalled. The Developer is unable to recover such content.
4.3Use of Android device backup, Google Drive backup and regular exports is recommended.
5. Third-Party Services
5.1Optional features rely on services operated by third parties, including Google Drive and Google Sign-In, and on the applications to which content is shared.
5.2The terms and privacy policies of those third parties apply to their services.
6. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
6.1The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
6.2To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Developer shall not be liable for any loss of data, or any other loss or damage, arising from the use of or inability to use the App.
7. Changes
7.1The App and these Terms may be updated from time to time.
7.2Material changes to these Terms will be published on this page with a revised date and notified within the App.
8. Governing Law
8.1These Terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka.
